Our Emergency First Aid at Work course is your gateway to acquiring vital life-saving skills and knowledge. This course, fully aligned with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) standards, offers a user-friendly eLearning platform that simplifies complex topics. You’ll dive into essential content, gaining proficiency in emergency response techniques, all while enhancing your communication abilities, ensuring you’re equipped to make a real difference in critical situations.

  • Roles and Responsibilities of a First Aider: Learn about the critical roles and responsibilities of a first aider in emergency situations, understanding the importance of quick and effective response.

  • Incident and Casualty Assessment and Reporting: Gain expertise in assessing and reporting incidents and casualties accurately, a fundamental skill for effective emergency response.

  • Dealing with an Unconscious Casualty: Understand the appropriate steps to take when encountering an unconscious casualty, ensuring their safety and well-being.

  • Asthma: Explore the management of asthma-related emergencies, including recognising symptoms and administering proper aid.

  • Minor Injuries: Learn how to handle common minor injuries effectively, providing immediate relief and preventing complications.

  • Eye, Ears, and Nose Injuries: Acquire the skills to assess and administer first aid for injuries involving the eyes, ears, and nose.

  • CPR and AED (Defibrillator): Master cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to save lives in cardiac emergencies.

  • Choking: Understand how to respond to choking incidents, including the Heimlich maneuver and other lifesaving techniques.

  • Seizures: Gain knowledge on recognising and providing appropriate care for individuals experiencing seizures.

  • Shock: Learn how to identify and manage cases of shock, a critical aspect of emergency first aid.

  • Burns: Explore the various types of burns, their severity levels, and appropriate first aid measures for each.

  • External Bleeding: Acquire essential skills for managing external bleeding, preventing further injury, and stabilising the casualty.

Upon successful completion of the Emergency First Aid at Work Course, participants will receive:

 

  • Confidence in Emergency Response: Participants will gain the confidence to respond effectively to a wide range of emergency situations, knowing how to assess, report, and administer first aid.

  • Life-Saving Skills: Completing the course equips participants with life-saving skills such as CPR, AED usage, and choking response, enabling them to take immediate action during critical moments.

  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Participants will have a comprehensive understanding of various injuries and medical emergencies, from burns to seizures, enhancing their ability to provide timely and appropriate care.

  • Certification: Successful course completion results in certification as an Emergency First Aid responder, opening up opportunities to contribute as a first aider in workplaces and communities.
