Our blended e-learning course seamlessly combines 6 hours of online training with an interactive 6-hour face-to-face session. This comprehensive programme surpasses Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981 standards, delivering up-to-date first aid training. You can choose your preferred learning environment, whether it’s in the comfort of your own home or at a location of your choice. Through this course, participants acquire essential skills to effectively manage first aid situations and meet Paediatric First Aid (PFA) requirements in childcare establishments, enhancing their first aid proficiency.
  • Scene Assessment & First Aid Responsibilities: Ensure safety and understand your duties as a childcare first aider.

  • Primary Survey & CPR: Master essential steps in evaluating emergencies and administering CPR for infants and children.

  • Secondary Survey & Choking: Conduct comprehensive assessments and learn techniques for clearing airways in choking incidents.

  • Seizures, Asthma, Anaphylaxis: Manage seizures, respiratory conditions, and severe allergic reactions.

  • Shock, Wounds, Burns: Recognise and provide first aid for shock, wounds, bleeding, and burns.

  • Serious Injuries & Sprains: Respond to fractures, dislocations, sprains, and strains appropriately.

  • Head Injuries & Specific Health Conditions: Assess and manage head injuries, sickle cell, meningitis, and diabetes.

  • Temperature-Related Injuries & Illness: Recognise and treat heat/cold-related injuries and common illnesses in childcare settings.

  • First Aid Kits: Explore essential contents and maintenance for childcare first aid kits.

Upon successful completion of the Paediatric First Aid Course, participants will receive:
