The Emergency Paediatric First Aid Training is a 6-hour course that equips individuals with essential skills for providing immediate first aid to infants and children during emergencies. It’s ideal for those who need to be prepared for paediatric situations without requiring a full First Aid at Work qualification.
- Incident Assessment: Learn to assess incidents involving infants or children, ensuring scene safety.
- Unresponsive Situations: Manage unresponsive infants or children, whether they are breathing normally or not.
- Seizure and Choking: Recognise and handle seizures and choking incidents.
- Bleeding and Shock: Manage external bleeding and recognise shock.
- Roles and Responsibilities: Understand the legal and ethical duties of a Paediatric First Aider.
Upon successful completion of the Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course, participants will receive:
