Our First Aid at Work course provides individuals with vital life-saving skills and HSE-compliant certification. This course seamlessly integrates online learning flexibility with practical hands-on training. In Part 1, participants explore interactive e-learning modules, covering essential topics and honing decision-making abilities. Part 2 comprises two intensive days of expert-led, hands-on training sessions to translate theory into practice.
Role and Responsibilities of a First-Aider: Understand the crucial role and responsibilities of a first-aider in emergency situations.
Assessing Emergencies: Learn to assess situations and circumstances to ensure safe, prompt, and effective actions during emergencies.
Unresponsive Casualties: Administer first aid to an unresponsive casualty, including those experiencing seizures.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED Use: Gain proficiency in performing CPR and operating an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Choking Casualties: Learn how to provide first aid to individuals who are choking.
Wounded and Bleeding Casualties: Acquire skills to provide first aid for wounds and bleeding.
Casualties in Shock: Understand how to assist casualties suffering from shock.
Minor Injuries: Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries, including small cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns, scalds, and small splinters.
Major Illness Recognition: Recognise the signs of major illnesses, such as heart attacks, strokes, epilepsy, asthma, and diabetes, and provide appropriate first aid.
Injuries to Bones, Muscles, and Joints: Learn how to administer first aid for injuries to bones, muscles, joints, including suspected spinal injuries.
Chest Injuries: Understand how to provide first aid for chest injuries.
Burns and Scalds: Gain skills in treating burns and scalds.
Eye Injuries: Learn how to administer first aid for eye injuries.
Sudden Poisoning: Recognise and respond to cases of sudden poisoning.
Anaphylactic Shock: Understand how to provide first aid to a casualty experiencing anaphylactic shock.
